Restore Lasting Peace of Mind With Trusted Repiping in Irvine

If your home in Irvine is experiencing frequent leaks, low water pressure, or discolored water, it could be a sign that your plumbing system is due for a repipe. At Emergency Response Plumbers, we specialize in fast, reliable, and long-lasting repiping services in Irvine, CA. Whether your home has aging galvanized pipes or you’re dealing with recurring plumbing issues, our licensed plumbers are here to help restore your water lines and peace of mind.

We’ve repiped hundreds of homes throughout Orange County, and we understand the unique challenges that Southern California plumbing systems face. From start to finish, our team provides honest assessments, high-quality workmanship, and fast turnaround times to ensure your home is protected and functioning at its best.

What Is Repiping ?

Repiping is the process of replacing all—or most—of the plumbing pipes in a home. This typically involves replacing old, corroded, or failing pipes with modern materials like PEX or copper, which are more durable, efficient, and code-compliant.

Rather than patching leak after leak or dealing with inconsistent water flow, repiping addresses the root of the problem by giving your home a brand-new plumbing system from the inside out. It’s a long-term solution that protects your property and improves your overall plumbing performance.

Signs You May Need Repiping in Irvine

It’s not always easy to tell when your home needs repiping, but certain warning signs can point to failing or outdated plumbing:

  • Frequent leaks in walls, ceilings, or slab
  • Low or fluctuating water pressure
  • Rust-colored or discolored water
  • Strange-tasting or smelling water
  • Visible corrosion on exposed pipes
  • Noisy plumbing (banging, whistling, or knocking sounds)
  • Plumbing that’s over 30+ years old, especially if it’s galvanized steel or polybutylene

If your home was built before the 1980s and still has its original pipes, it may be time to consider a whole-house repipe. Our Irvine plumbing team can assess your system and help you determine the best course of action.

Benefits of Whole-House Repiping

While repiping may sound like a big project, it delivers major benefits for homeowners who are ready to invest in long-term peace of mind.

Eliminate Recurring Repairs

Stop dealing with frequent leaks and emergency calls. Repiping eliminates the need for patchwork fixes and gives you a fresh start.

Improved Water Pressure

Old pipes—especially corroded steel—can reduce flow. New pipes restore consistent, strong water pressure throughout your home.

Cleaner, Safer Water

Repiping removes rust, corrosion, and buildup from your plumbing system, giving you cleaner, better-tasting water.

Increased Property Value

A recently repiped home is a strong selling point. Buyers are more confident in a home with modern plumbing and fewer potential issues.

Long-Term Savings

Though repiping requires an upfront investment, it can save thousands in water damage repairs, emergency service calls, and utility bills caused by inefficient systems.

It is important that you hire a leak detection expert as soon as possible if you suspect there might be a hidden leak on your property. The faster we detect the location of the leak, the sooner we can repair it and prevent possible extensive property damage. In the case of a sewer or gas leak, it is critical that you call for professional leak detection services right away to avoid potential health risks.

What Type of Piping Material Is Best?

We offer both PEX and copper repiping, depending on your needs, budget, and home structure.

PEX (Cross-Linked Polyethylene)

  • Flexible and easy to install
  • Resistant to corrosion and scale buildup
  • Great for tight spaces and slab homes
  • More affordable than copper
  • Suitable for most residential applications

Copper

  • Extremely durable and long-lasting
  • Naturally antimicrobial
  • Performs well in high-heat environments
  • Ideal for homes with higher water pressure or special requirements

We recently had an issue with a leaky pipe, and after opening up part of the ceiling to investigate, I reached out to Emergency Response Plumbers. My call was answered immediately, and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to schedule a service visit for the same day. Christian, the owner, arrived later that afternoon with his apprentice. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home. Christian clearly communicated his plan and walked me through the troubleshooting process step by step. Once they pinpointed the source of the leak, Christian explained our repair options along with transparent pricing. They carefully contained the area to minimize dust and debris before opening up the ceiling further to access the necessary plumbing. The repairs were completed efficiently, and the quality of workmanship was top-notch. Christian’s attention to detail, clear communication, and personable nature really stood out. He made what could have been a stressful situation feel completely manageable. If you're looking for a reliable, professional, and skilled plumber, I highly recommend Emergency Response Plumbers and Christian in particular. Outstanding service from start to finish!

ERP is a great company to service all your plumbing needs. Chris came out to fix a kitchen/laundry main line backup. Problem was fixed in no time, prices were upfront, and value for money from the service was outstanding. Would recommend ERP to anyone needing plumbing services.

This review is from a few months ago, but I was so happy with the service I wanted to come back and write a review now that I'm less busy. We had a leak from our master bathroom that I first noticed late on a Friday, a big growing damp spot in the stucco nearby. Called around to various plumbers that were listed as 24 hours, but none could come out for a day or two until I tried ERP. Not only did Christian come out late at night on a Friday to help me out, he quickly broke through the stucco and found and fixed the leak. He did an excellent job of discussing options and pricing at every step of the way. I really appreciate the emergency visit and excellent service. He saved our weekend plans and more importantly stopped the leak quickly enough to prevent any extra damage to our house.

Excellent service!!!! Christian saved my life today, on a lovely Sunday morning when he had other things to do. I could not pull the Moen cartridge from my shower, which rendered me waterless overnight. He was cheerful, knowledgeable, and patient. I recommend this company most highly.

My shower drain was backed up, so I called Emergency Response Plumbers. Richard came to resolve the issue and did an outstanding job. As a single female homeowner, I sometimes feel nervous inviting strangers into my home, but Richard’s demeanor made me feel very comfortable. He was friendly, professional, and fixed the drain quickly while explaining how I can prevent similar problems in the future. I’m very happy with my experience!

I have to tell you that Chris is a very nice and helpful person. Much different from most plumbers that come around. He seems to really truly care about his customers. He showed up the same day when I called him in the am. A little tiny glitch with the appt time; however, he gave me his word he would come between 1-3 and he was there @ 1:00. It is so refreshing to have a nice reliable plumber. I will sing his praises. I wish I had found him about a decade ago. If you have plumbing needs, he is the guy to go to. So Satisfied.
